Hey Parents!
Yesterday, we started a brand new series called Clue! We are so excited about what God is going to teach our kids through this series!
rBackyard Parents:
In rBackyard, we met our new characters and our special
watch, Cluey, who will help us solve our mystery questions each week. This week we searched for clues from
God’s Word, the Bible, to help solve our mystery question, “Is God Real?” We pretended to be secret
agents, and learned from the story of the first boy and girl that God created
(Genesis 2) that “God is real… because
God made everything!” We colored a creation book that helps us remember all
the things that God made: light, dark, rain, trees, birds, boys and girls!
Throughout this series, we will be searching for more clues
from God’s Words to help us learn that God is real. During this series, our
rBackyard kids will be learning this memory verse:
Believe
that God is real (both arms point up)
He
rewards everyone (pat self on back)
Who
searches for Him. (binoculars to eyes, scanning room)
Hebrews
11:6 (hold up 6 fingers)
Be sure to practice it at home and help your kids memorize
God’s Word! Memorizing God’s Word will help us become a Dangerous Church!
rCity Parents:
During this new series, Clue, we will be searching for clues
that will help us solve some mysteries about God. Each week we will be asking a
question and looking to the Bible for our answer. We met Parker Pif-Paf and Steve Smart, who are cousins that
are searching for hidden treasure in the Pif-Paf Manor. They are going to help us solve our mysteries each week. This week they helped
us decoded the mystery question, “Is
God Real?”
Our kids recorded evidence that God is real in their
Detective Notes that they took home to review this week. Through God's Word (story of Creation in the Bible), we discovered that "God is real! He created things that are impossible for people to make!”
Encourage your child to tell you some of the things God made that are
impossible for people to make (the stars, the sun, oceans, trees, gravities,
heaven, and even our own hearts!). Talk with them about what they learned.
rCity kids will be learning a new memory verse this series.
It is:
“But without faith no one can please God. We must believe that God is
real and that He rewards everyone who searches for him.” Hebrews 11:6.
Be sure
to encourage them to practice their verse this week. Memorizing God’s Word will help us become a Dangerous Church!
